Meet The Team
Jason Hoffman
Jason Hoffman is the President and Founder of Transafe, LLC & Advanced Fleet Solutions. He has worked as a safety management consultant with motor carriers for over 20 years. He provides carriers with an in-depth knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and extensive experience assisting carriers with day to day safety management, compliance reviews and safety audits. He holds a Master Certificate in Motor Carrier Safety Management from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Institute. He is also a Certified Commercial Vehicle Inspector, DATIA Certified Professional Collector and a Certified Breath Alcohol Testing Technician.
Jason has twin daughters and a son. Jason is an instrument rated private pilot who enjoys time with the family, reading, hunting and offshore fishing.
Lance Johnson
Lance joined the team in October of 2016 as the Sales Manager for ELD Sales. His duties include ELD sales, Account setup and implementation, Customer support and troubleshooting, and installations. Lance has a vast knowledge of both Omnitracs and Geotab operating systems along with 3rd party hardware and software products that assists in increasing a fleet’s safety and efficiency. Lance also services a small portfolio of clients with DOT Compliance services.
Lance is married to his wife Brittany and together they have 2 sons. During his free time, Lance enjoys coaching both of his sons in youth league sports. Lance also serves as a board member for the Jones County Youth Sports Council.
Brittany Johnson
Brittany Johnson joined Advanced Fleet Solutions in August 2022 as the Social Media/Communications Director as well as Customer Service Representative. She is married to Lance Johnson who also works with Advanced Fleet Solutions. They have 2 children together, Walker and Beckett.
She is also a Personal Trainer and owns an online Fitness Business and an Activewear Boutique. She is very involved with her kid’s sporting events and leagues as well. Her hobbies include any activities with her family, exercising, reading, and biking.
Mallory Gilbert
Mallory Gilbert joined Advanced Fleet Solutions in May 2023 as a Customer Service Representative. She is an Integrated Marketing Communications major with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi, along with an Associate’s degree from Jones College. Mallory is a resident of Laurel, Mississippi, and she is an alumna of West Jones High School. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a Magna Cum Laude graduate. She attends Highland Church and loves to spend her spare time traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Joel Garrett
Started with the team in March of 2014 and came back to work in April 2018 after a short “sabbatical” in 2017. Joel is a Contract Manager overseeing and managing client’s compliance needs with DOT regulations. He is a DATIA certified collector for drug and alcohol test collections. He has been married to Lori Garrett for 22 years and they have 3 children, Brandon, William, and Timothy. He is an active member at Berean Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Galilean leader. In his spare time Joel is dedicated to spending time with his family doing a host of activities from hunting and fishing, to playing ball, and even the occasional shopping trip.
Sally Ball
Sally Ball joined Advanced Fleet Solutions in January 2023 as the Accountant. She graduated high school from Wayne Academy, then Jones College, and has been in the work force ever since.
She and Freddie Ball have been married for 35 years.
She has a daughter and 3 grands. She has resided in Jones County
for the past 20 years, and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Andy McKelvy
Andy joined the team in January 2011 as a Contract Manager. He works with new clients performing initial setups, as well as management of our existing client base. Andy is a DATIA Certified Professional Collector for controlled substance related testing along with also being a qualified Hair Specimen collector. He is also trained and certified as a Breath Alcohol Testing Technician. Andy successfully completed the U.S. DOT Motor Carrier Safety Compliance Course. Andy has written many Corrective Action Plans and Rating Upgrade Request and has developed a good working relationship with State and Federal Auditors. He works with NCMS, Veriforce, and TPS for several clients that require PHMSA Drug and Alcohol monitoring. Andy is married to Candace McKelvy, who is also employed with Transafe. He is currently restoring a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. Other hobbies include gardening, fishing, and home projects.
